 1. Required Participation FormALL Students & a guardian MUST fill out the Required Participation Form by THURSDAY, AUGUST 14TH. This is for ALL students (crew, cast, stage managers, pit band) and one parent/caregiver. This way you will stay informed about the August intensive for everyone, Meet the Coaches Meeting, audition sides, and songs. Plus it is school policy that you MUST fill out a form of registration before you can participate in a Co-Curricular activity.

This is helpful to everyone, but especially for those folks who are NEW to the CVU theatre program. "ITW" FALL MUSICAL SHOW CALENDARPlease NOTE: Not ALL cast members will be at every rehearsal. Weekly schedules come out the Sunday morning before. It is each student's responsibility to know when they are called. We are planning to use Google classroom, weekly emails to caregivers and students, or SportsYou to keep you updated. Stay posted for further info about SportsYou. Link to Show Calendar: ITW Show Calendar SUMMER INTENSIVE - This is optional, but highly recommended Thurs Aug 21st & Friday August 22nd 3:30 - 7PM FULL COMPANY: Called on August 21st, 3:30 - 5:30pm, Cast & SM Team: stay until 7pm 8/21 and just Cast & SM Team on August 22nd. Guardians are invited to meet the team August 21st at 3:30 - 4pm. This is when you'll meet the department heads, (Band leader, lights, props, costumes, sets, MD, Director, SM Team) then students get a tour of the space, see the set design, costume & prop lists, delve into the script, and learn music from the show. It's a fun bonding time :) 4. ARBITER/POWERSCHOOL REGISTRATION FOR ALLAll students MUST register for a Fall Co-Curricular or Sport through Power School. This is REQUIRED in order to participate, for health and safety reasons. This year, guardians & students must go through Power School first in order to get to the Arbiter registration link for Fall Musical. Theatre is a collaborative activity. When a cast, crew, or musician is missing it affects everyone. Look over the Fall Show Schedule carefully. You'll see that we have rehearsals EVEN on 1/2 days, because the school is OPEN, e.g. Harbor Day and Teacher Conferences. Please read the Attendance Policy listed in the Required Participation Form and have the student and caregiver sign. List ANY conflicts you know about on the Participation Form. Thank you. Students are only allowed 3 unexcused absences. On the 4th unexcused absence, consequential actions will be taken. It takes a village to put on a show, and CVU has put on some fantastic shows over the last few years, raised money for the theatre program, provided food for the company and more....thanks to the amazing support of Guardian Volunteers! AUDITIONSFor those auditioning for the show, sides and song selections will be posted on the CVU Performing Arts Website around August 11th. Until then, listen to the Broadway soundtrack 'ad nauseam,' watch the movie, immerse yourself in this brilliant, but challenging, music and world. There are 52 people interested in being in the cast and only 23 -25 roles. We plan to split a few of the roles, plus have an ensemble.
